What are my changes of still getting disability while working or trying to find work? I can't afford not to work with my insurance I'm having to pay a $234 premium each month in which my insurance has been terminated twice because I can't afford it. So I need to find work to pay for it or I can't go to any of my doctor appointments, it's just frustrating.

If you havent been approved for disability working most likely can get u denied. Depending on the state. After i was approved disability i ended up getting a job because disability alone isnt enough. While i was working they stopped the money but I was able to keep the medical insurance. When i stopped working i let them know and they continued my money. Its definitely hard balancing both lupus and work, good luck to you

Depends on your state but in Texas you can be on disability and they let you work up to a certain amount of money per month.

I say find a good disability lawyer I tell people my new job is going to all my doctors. With a job it is extremely hard to do both go to work when you are feeling bad and have a doctors appointment that day . Jobs don't see lupus as that bad of a disease to see you need time off or may have to go home early because you're not feeling good

I would say you might have to ask a good disability lawyer, but I was also told by my doctor's that I couldn't work
