I wouldn't risk it but I have a kidney transplant to worry about and don't want Lupus to become active more than it is already and lose this kidney.

In theory, no. Unpasteurized cheeses can have bacteria that could make you sick. If immuno-compromised it is very dangerous. However, I love cheeses and have always eaten them, even hand made ones off a street car in Mexico and have never gotten sick from them. But it could be my Mexican constitution!
