YES, i had doctors blame everything for it including poor hygiene which is rediculous Iam a nurse and shower before and after work wash my clothes daily and have immaculate nailbeds. My body is scarred up and im sun and sweat sensative so i get them from being exposed to the sun and excercise. Its a no win but i have found tea tree oil clears them out rather quickly.

@A MyLupusTeam Member I thought the same thing about hygiene but the meds they give suppress our immune system it cause everything. I went through 2 surgery for this and finally they sent me to infectious disease doctor and he put me on iv vancomycin because oral alone didn’t work finally it killed it. I now bath with dial all over my body except private area then rinse the wash with dove then I use hebiclens and no more issues.

About boils and flares, interesting you should ask? I had what I call a mini flare that lasted 5 weeks and at about week 3 my back broke out in boils. I had never had them before. I am on plaquenil. It may be that my body is dealing less effectively with skin issues because of the plaquenil. Or, this may just be a new thing. I immediately queried 'boils' on this website, just like you. And, yes, others have had this, which strangely made me feel not so weirded out about it. I went to my dermotologist and she shot the boils with steriod. She also asked if I wanted antibiotic and I said no. Four days later I moved out of my flare and the boils were healing nicely.

Hi. I've had cellulitis twice in my right leg. Both times due to insect bites. First time I'm not sure what bit me, second time was due to a spider. I keep spare antibiotics incase it happens again. Both times it never triggered a flare. Maybe it's just due to our weakened immune system.

A couple weeks ago I suddenly got some very painful blisters. They just appeared out of nowhere. And now this week u have a huge inflamed lymph node that's part hard and part blister like. Dr says cellulitis - skin infection, but unsure of the origin because I didn't have the usual triggers.
