I got one in the fall and was fine.

I had the same fears but everyone reacts differently. Is the tattoo small? Are you on prednisone? When i got mine it was a small one. Then i got two more without and reaction. I healed quickly.

@A MyLupusTeam Member I got one years ago before I was diagnosed but I'm pretty sure I had lupus when I got it. I'm ok yet when I got it done I was swollen and in pain longer. Others who had tattoos say what I was experiencing was not the norm so I'm not sure if it was just me or what. I know I don't care for pain which determine for me whether I get another and I won't it hurt way too much. Not sure if it was the tattoo artist or what but what I do know is I'm good on them. You will probably do better. Start with something not too big to see how it goes. Good luck! Go to a skilled tattooist
