I have had at least a 50 pound weight gain since being on meds (not only prednisone, but others as well). I asked my family doctor if I could try weight loss drugs. At first, she put me on Contrave, which really didn't make me drop any weight; also, with Contrave you cannot take any narcotic pain meds, which was just awful! The beginning of February, I was placed on Belviq and started to see very slow weight loss. I then looked into a combo of Belviq and Phentermine and asked my family physician if I could try the combo because I just do not have any energy most days and she said I could try it. I dropped almost 10 pounds in 7 weeks. I still don't have much energy, but at least weight is coming off.

Prednisone was horrible on me an always is an we have found doesn't do anything for me. I was on 60mg every day for 3 months I gained a good 80 pounds.
The doctor told me before hand that I was going to gain weigh so my husband an I made it into a shopping trip we spent $200 on clearance clothes that went from 1 size to 3 sizes bigger so I would never not have things that fit.

I have been on prednisone for the past 5 months 40mg per day and I stay hungry. I have put on 18 pounds and my face has swelled up that I'm embrassed to be seen in public.

I'm two weeks on two weeks off. My dr told me 5 lbs. I only gained .6
