Is there any other kind of disability I would qualify for. I'm confused? If I can't work what do I do..do you have to be single or something?

The standard protocol for Social Security is to deny your claim. You can appeal their decision. It doesn't matter how many quarters you have paid into Social Security.

An attorney who specializes in Social Security disabilty benefits is your best and fastest route to getting your request approved. The Social Security Administration tries to wear you down until you give up. Don't fall for it, get a good, reputable lawyer.

This goes out to everyone. I have applied three times been denied 3 times last time with an attorney, papers were in detail but my doctor said I could work 2 to 4 hours sitting down, for approximately 2 to 3 days a week.. therefore I was denied. I have 2 types of lupus SLE and discoid, chronic pain, RA, and 2 lower back surgeries to get approved you need all that stuff from your doctor, your doctor standing behind you and you cannot be working, therefore they try to starve you out

I applied for SSD and was denied because I had not worked enough over the past ten years due to staying home to care for my cognitive impaired daughter and was lacking in credits. I then applied for SSI and was denied because I wasn't disabled enough. I hired a lawyer who says there is no reason I was denied . I have had to back surgeries one with fusion of lower lumbar. I still have nerve pain that radiates down my left leg and into my foot. I was diagnosed with SLE,Sjogren's and APS in 2014-2015. I also have moderate to severe asthma. Depending on your income from your spouse's work it may very well keep you from qualifying.

I'm a single mom who has no choice but to work to maintain my family household, attorney told me I could not be working I told him I would lose everything and be out on the streets, attorneys and the govermemt don't care. The chronic pain, fatigue. And memory loss, not to mention the new anxiety is making worse practically unbearable, but what choice do we have, if we quit we lose everything and our health insurance, if we stay we never stand a chance of getting disability, but quiting may take 3 years and homelessness before you get approved. Not a risk I can take as a mom. I just suffer and will die working. But if I had ADHD I would get approved in a minute so confused by this system.
