I'm curious of those out there suffering specially from SLE, who is on social security disability and how hard it was to get approved. I'm going on 2 1/2 years and 2 appeals and now have Binder & Binder
Advocating for me.
I am on disability. I applied myself, online, without a lawyer and was approved within 6 weeks of applying.
It took me 2 years and 2 trys.I got it w/the lawyer. The best thing he told me was to trash my notes I had made for the interrogation. He said they needed to SEE that I can't remember dates, words, etc.
That is my biggest beef with SSD. I have never ever been on state assistance of any kind, never been on unemployment, and had my own health insurance that paid for every one of my four kids. I started working at 15 in highschool and only had a couple years during my "motherhood marathon" where I earned 0 dollars. It is very disappointing. :(
I applied over 2 years ago as well. Have been denied twice, and had a hearing in February. The judge ordered me to have psychological testing, which I did, and now I am waiting to hear back from my lawyer. It's a painfully slow process, but I worked all my life and now I can't. I feel I should get what I paid in to all those years. I don't think any of us who are suffering so much deserve to be told no. It's just not right. Good luck huny <3
I think it depends what state so I'm told and the severity of the Lupus yes I have ssd sorry couldn't help you just have to apply best of luck God bless ☺️
