Has anyone ever been prescribed medicinal marijuana for lupus? I personally haven't tried it but, I would be willing to try it.

I'm just going to put this out there. My husband an mom are on the war path an have forced me to try it yes by smoking it. They both are tired of seeing me in so much pain an so sick an depressed that I am not a person anymore. So at night around 7pm I smoke an then take my meds at 9 pm an go to bed. It has been 4 days I have noticed less joint pain an stiffness an have been able to sleep like a baby. Also I have had a spike in my chronic migraines since starting Cellcept an that has been the only thing that can give me temporary relief. I'm not doing it in anyway to get high thats why I do it befor bed to help me sleep. They just are willing to do anything at this point to help me.

What LindaSilva said. I had to really research it and there is some compelling research out there. I don't have IBS, but things are in control with it and no nasty side effects. Best sleep I've had in years!

@A MyLupusTeam Member how you said some would make you sick. I'm allergic so some strains. My face will swell an I will vomit also any uncooked edible will do the same to me. It's the body's natural reaction to a chemical compound it doesn't recognize or can't handle

I have smoking now what 14 days an I have noticed that it has helped with my knee an finger swelling but only for a small about of time. Also I have changed it to take my meds at 8pm the smoke at 8:30 am by 9 I sleep like a baby an don't wake up till my husband's alarm at 4:30. What I currently smoke would be considered a " recreational" grade because the level of THC in it but I smoke so little an right before bed i don't get that. Tonight I'm trying a VERY high CBD content grown for pain an inflimation that should really make a difference an help longer.

MC, the level of THC might make a big difference. Back in the olden days you could have a "bad trip" with mj also. I actually did NO drugs during my hippie days (moonlighting hippie while involved in rodeo), so I got to observe a lot of reactions to various drugs. But I'm sure some people will just have adverse reactions to it.
