It has taken me awhile to realize that when my throat hurts all the way down my esophagus, it is the Sjogren's that is the problem. I've been going to the gastroenterologist and, after lots of tests, he is pretty much confirming it. I've tried several prescriptive medicines and so far nothing's worked. Cough drops seem to help temporarily . This seems to be much worse when I have the extreme fatigue.

My doctors recommended lemon drops (hard candy). They are a little sour and causes you to secrete more saliva which helps out the throat as well. Also, try a teaspoonful of honey for your throat. Mints do not do the same as lemon does.

Sjogrens has dried out my eyes terribly, but sometimes my throat gets super dry and ticklish. I find Fisherman's Friend cough lozenges help. They are super strong tasting but bring relief.

My Rhuemy has told me when I had the chest pain it from our muscle hurting and it is part of our illness. I would diffently talk to your Rhuemy. I was put on pain meds. Hope you start to fill better. Gently hugs.

I have Sjrogren syndrome. My eyes are dried out i use restasis and i have plugs in upper and lower tear ducts. I have rx for ? Can't think of name but it litterally makes you salivate like you do right b4 you throw up so i dont like to use it. Excovasc i think is name. My entire mouth tongue and throat are bone dry most of the time. I drink water constantly really the only thing that can wet my mouth, sometimes i chew gum. For me it's the easiest part ti live with.
