I am about to have a much needed back surgery. I am concerned as to what affect having Lupus will have on the outcome of my surgery. Have any of you experienced complications due to Lupus after having major surgery?

I had neck surgery in February, the only "problem" I had is that my healing has been much slower. I had to be off some of my media for 6 weeks but over all I was fortunate in not having major issues following surgery. Prayers for complete healing.

Thank you for your answer. That is kind of what I expected to hear, a slower healing process. Have you completely healed from your surgery? How did you cope with being off your meds for that long? Pray that everything is well with you and appreciate your prayers for complete healing.
