Anyone have tips for calming inflammation of the hair follicles down? I've had this several times before and normally washing my hair and just letting the hot water run over my head relieves it...not so much this time...sad! :(
Pretty please with sugar on top, help!

Oh yeah . Now for me when my hair hurts that is a really bad day and those ones where my teeth hurt.
Most of the time when I am hurting anywhere Hot water helps me get better but sometimes what I need is cold to reduce inflammation.
Something I discovered awhile back is called bath teas. You put together some tea bags and herbs steep them and add them to your bath water, put them in a spray bottle and spritz yourself, or pour them over your hair like a conditioner. I love camomile because it is so soothing.
Sometimes I take pink allergy tablets and dissolve them in a bottle of water and pour that solution over myself including hair at the end of my shower, it helps with skin discomfort.
Bath teas and any other answers that I have found that work for me has been a result of Internet research. I encourage anyone to check these things out for themselves.
May we all have fewer days where our hair hurts.

Hi Calli :)
I used to have so much trouble with hair follicles hurting. I found a shampoo that has solved this for me. J.R. Liggets I use the moisturizing formula it is all natural with No detergents or chemicals. Surprisingly it lathers up better than other shampoos. My hair looks and feels great and no hurting roots. Also I only shampoo about every 5 days due to dryness so it doesn't dry out more.
