I just finished reading a book called Autoimmune the Cause and the Cure. It's filled with a lot of clinical studies, but what it comes down to is, the pancreas is not producing a number of enzymes which help process vit B and because of this the body starts developing autoiummune symptoms. As most people have already said it's best to avoid processed foods or anything with white sugar or white flour in it. According to this book if you add fermented things into your diet like sauerkraut, dill pickles or fermented vegetables, all organic of course, you will replace the enzyme the pancreas is not producing. The woman who wrote this book suffered from lupus and it does seem to work. My joints hurt less and I have more energy. Unfortunately, I"m not a big fan of fermented vegetables, so a lot of it is hard to joke down on a daily basis. I also added kiefer to my diet as well.

This varies from patient to patient. You have to figure out what is best for you through a process of trial and error. A common thread, however, is reducing processed/prepared foods and reducing the body burden of pesticides and additives. Go to the Environmental Working Group dot org for a great amount of information.

I am also Celiac so gluten was already out. I have been limiting my red meat intake and the rash seems to be getting better.
