Does anyone else feel like doing the slightest things gets you over heated? I literally just walked from the kitchen to the living room and now I'm burning up. I'm not in menopause either lol. It just seems like it don't take much these days to make me sweat.

I have to keep my air set to 59°
If I go out, or to someone's house. When I get home the only way I can cool down is to take a cold shower, and lay in bed with a bag full of ice behind my neck. Sometimes all night, but usually and hour takes my temp down.
I think we all have this issue. I can't be outside at all during the summer. Unless it's at night, no humidity. I'm basically a hermit all summer long. I got to the doctors, and to family's houses. Don't even think of inviting me to a BBQ

All the time! I hate it! I have to carry a washcloth with me to wipe my face because I sweat so much a paper towel gets saturated in no time! My face drips! AND no, it's NOT menopause!

Yes!!! I get so sweaty for no reason at all. I am just sitting there and I can feel sweat behind my knees or on my lower back or under my boobs (not to be gross) so frustrating

All do respect to your rheumatologist, but I don't think that's the end all be all reason for our excessive reaction to heat. Because I've been reacting horribly to heat way before you diagnosis. And continue to even when I'm not on steroids. As a matter of fact, my friends in high school use to call me a vampire. Cause I was the only one who never went tanning. And when we had beach days here on the jersey Shore. I would not only become I'll. But I would be drained of energy. Just like what happens to me now. Like I said before my home AC is set at 59°, and I can't tell without looking at the thermostat if it gets to 64° immediately. Like if I'm cooking or someone in the house touches the thermostat. I get nauseous, sweaty, and tired. We as lupies are just very sensitive to heat. I've had to leave events, school functions, family members homes. And once I get hot, it becomes so unbearable it takes so long sometimes a whole day to recuperate.

Yes I feel that way all the time. My Rheumy blames it on the steroids but I am not so sure that is causing my problem. My car has no a/c so when I have to drive to doctor's appointments I feel like I am dying from heat exhaustion. I start to pour sweat and feel very nauseated. I hope yours goes away very soon.
