It's just an overlapping connection to multiple diseases. It's the way that Drs can give you RX for what they think you have while they still can't decide which connective tissue disease you have.

Im not in pain when i take plaquanil and prednisone. Before i was prescribed plaquanil i had severe joint paint especialy small joints (chewing was hard, holding a cup was painful). Now i just feel a bit if stiffness in knuckles and thats all

I have Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. It is an overlap disease, in that, with this diagnosis I have SLE, Osteoarthritis, Rhuemtoid Arthritis and the list goes on. Your doctor should be able to tell you more what you are dealing with.
