I am going in for my 9th and 10th spinal surgeries soon. On my cervical spine and lumbar with these next two surgeries. I would like to know if other people with Lupus have severe spinal problems involving discs completely disappearing and permanent nerve damage. I would like to know how it is being treated. I would also like to know if anyone is experiencing severe ankle pain and lower leg bone pain so severe you can not stand or walk more than 10 pace, and how this is being treated.
I have severe lower back pain but I opt not to have surgery. O have no cartilage on either knees so I get 4 shots on my knees ,2 on my shoulders and 2 on my lower back
I've had acute episodes with my back (twice in the past 3 years). A couple of herniated discs, a couple of bulging discs, and extreme unstableness in most of my facet joints, SI joint issues. My physiotherapist just said to me the other day that my spine is way older than I am. She said it's as if I had been in a very traumatic car accident in the past (which I haven't).
I have severe spinal issues. Been through several surgeries C-spine and L-spine. 3 weeks ago I had me lower back Radio Frequencies and now I have less pain in the spine. They say my spine can't take another surgery. As the spinal surgeon says, your bones are turning to sand.
I've had my Cspine 5,6-6,7 as well as my Lumbar 4,5 and one on the 5,6 and 6,7. Last surgery was 2012. Now they tell me my bones are crumbling. My pain specialist, who is also my Neurosurgeon, did the Radio Frequency ablation on my lower back in July. So far no pain. He says NO MORE SURGERY. Body can't handle it. Spine is too fragile. This man I trust a lot. Been my surgeon for 20 years. I will be there for you just message me..
