Does anyone else experience random fluctuations in their heart rate and blood pressure? Mine will randomly drop very low or shoot up high for no apparent reason. When it's low, I feel "swooshy" and when it's high, I get a weird headache.

My blood pressure varies a lot and the blame the prednisone that I am on. My heart rate has been above 100 bpm a lot. They cut my blood pressure med in 1/2, but now my systolic is 140-150. They put me back on a whole tablet in the hospital after my seizure. I think the best thing we can do is get off of the prednisone.

Yes, I do too. Was diagnosed with AFib. Currently taking a blood thinner and medication for heart rythm. I'm going back this Friday for another Holter monitor test. Hopefully will show the new med is working. Yes, please do go to your doctor. Be persistent in explaining. My doc took almost a year to take me seriously.

Yes, this happens all the time. I've gotten so I just ignore it because my Dr. doesn't seem concerned about it. I thought I was weird and get so tired of complaining about anything that is not a HUGE deal. Sometimes my systolic is high and the diastolic is really low. Evidently it is not a concern. It does help to know I'm not alone or imagining a problem. tiresome!

I've been trying to get off prednisone since January, started at 50mg now finally down to 10, it's been a HUGE struggle, everytime I dropped down I flared up so bad I had to go up again, anxiety meds help a lot!!!!

@DavePrednisone has so many side effects such as high blood sugar, high blood pressure, etc. that it is always better to stop it as soon as you can. Good luck!
