When having a flare: does your blood pressure get high? Does your heart rate get high? When I'm having a flare up both occur for me even with taking blood pressure medications. Without a flare I do fine.

Absolutely, I have high blood pressure spikes when in Lupus flare. I also take metaprolol for it.

Me too. Because of this my doctor gave me the diagnosis of PoTs. Postural orthostatic Tachycardia syndrome

I get this periodically. A year and a half ago I went to ER because of it but heart looked good. My BP is usually pretty good but sometimes when I'm flaring I experience elevated BP, heart palpitations and chest heaviness. It makes me nervous but usually subsides.
