I know I over did it this weekend an will be in so much trouble tomorrow when i wake up with my husband's alarm by instinct at 4:30 instead of sleeping until my body is rested. I go through kleenex like mad every morning especially. I was wondering if this was lupus related. Seems like it affects everything. I have episodes of a sore chest/heart and a sore neck on one side. Also ringing in ears, tightness on scalp on one side of my head. Just lots of strange things. I used to have headaches but they have ceased. All that said, I'm thankful it's not worse. So many are having so much pain.

I know I should lay down each afternoon even if I don't feel like it. It's over-do insurance. Some times I do very little, but it's too much. And some times I am having more energy and I can get away with doing much more. I look for joint aches as a sign that I am moving into a baby flare zone. Also I get a wet nose, and often on one side of my throat or neck, swollen glands. I think it is one of the most difficult aspects of our malaise.

The warning signs I have overdone it are similar. Typically if I spend too much time in the sun or dont get enough sleep, I can do this for a couple days until my body starts collapsing. I get very exhausted, almost like im wearing a lead vest, my lips typically begin forming cold sores, and I often have intense headache as if im very dehydrated. My recommendation is to notice when you are in a spiral of overdoing it and take a minute to reevaluate how your body is feeling. As cheesy as the spoon theory is, it has always been a nice reminder that its ok we dont have the strength.energy to go as hard as everyone else does all the time. Its good to pay attention to how you feel all the time. Mindfullness is SO helpful here. Good luck!
