Has anyone had success from participating in a clinical trial? If so, what did you find great about it?

There are tons of trials out there. Each has a specific set of criteria for enrollment in the trials. In lupus trials, you stay on current treatment and add either the trial drug or a placebo. For this reason, people will have very varied experiences. Later stage trials put everyone on the trial drug to measure long term side effects, often at different dosages. You can find trials at lupustrials dot org.
