I relax by meditating and listening to music. I manage stress as best I can by doing light exercises (gentle stretching and short walks), taking my meds as prescribed and getting plenty of rest.
I think this group chat is amazing everyone with lupus just wants answers and help with dealing with living with lupus. To be able to talk about their symptoms and feelings with people who truly understand what their going thru. I think this helps in dealing with stress 😄 in one way for sure.
I use to draw to destresser and relax. I am unable to do so now, due to a head trauma I subtained a year ago..I haveven tried all sort of things, during the summer I like to go to the beach and side in the shade and just close my eye a exit all the sounds out...and just drift with rhe wind and the sounds of the water hitting the shore line. cover up in warmth, read a good book or nook, hot tea............... gardening in the right season, working on crafts to calm the spirit.....
I get extra stressed when I am overtired (which is common for someone with Lupus) so I normally go and have a nap. I find that I need to sleep 12 to 14 hours a day to cope. Sometimes even more on a bad day!
