I am on that 6 day dose pack of prednisone for muscle problems. Did great for 4 days with amazing energy . Last night was up all night. Could not sleep even though I had the most active day in 6 months. Was awake till 5am and awake again at 7am. Does it cause sleep problems? Also heart is skipping a little. Common?

i am on the doses that start at 6 a day and work down to one which will be tomorrow. just a quick 6 day. It hasn't bothered me and actually has given me more energy. Or it was the first B12 show I got last Friday. What a difference it has made. I have so much energy. More than I have had in 6 months. I don't take any other meds for lupus daily. all made me very sick. I take a kenalog 40 shot ever 4 months and mobic if necessary but aside from fatigue and weakness in legs I have been pain free for the most part for 3 1/2 months. Palpitations are something I get a lot. Now I am thinking it might be more of an acid indigestion thing. Boy Lupus throws a lot at you. I am new to this. 68 years old and 6 months in. How ironic is it that my son who is a singer actor has been raising money for lupus for 10 years and was honored the other night by Lupus LA. Never though he was raising it to help his mom. Thanks so much

When I have to take prednisone, I take an anti anxiety before I go to bed or I wouldn't be able to sleep. The first couple of days don't seem too bad but the longer I am on it the worse the anxiety and restlessness get. Congrats and Thanks to your son!

That makes so much sense. Thank you.

Hi... What dose are you on? I'm on 25mgs and yes it does cause sleep problems for me and palpitations but they won't take me off them because they don't have enough control over my lupus
