I believe Plaquenil has helped me tremendously. My lupus seems to be in remission unless I overdo it. I had a lot of trouble with Plaquinil when I first started taking it but that went away. I tried stopping it many times but it didn't work for me. I will take it forever I guess. I am feeling pretty good with it.

What problems did you have in the beginning

It has turned my life around!! The horrid rashes are gone (unless I accidentally get sun), no more joint pain, and the greatest improvement is fatigue….gone! If I do too much, I get fatigued but recover more quickly. So grateful for this safe med!

I've been on Plaquenil for 2 years. It really has helped and I was in remission. I read that the docs don't really understand why it helps with Lupus, but it does, at least for me.
