Do not stop taking any meds without consulting with your Doc. This is huge. You could cause a great deal of harm.

I think it depends on the meds you are taking always check with you doctor. I have never been told to stop taking my meds I’ve had many, many bacterial infections I had 3 and I was in the hospital for 2 weeks but the doctor who cared for me in the hospital and my rheumatologist never changed my lupus meds. I would never stop taking them unless your doctor tells you to.

My daughter takes Imuran, and her rhuematologist told her to stop taking it anytime she gets sick with cold, sore throat, fever, etc. because it will make it harder for her to recover.

Absolutely my doctor's says stop. Without stopping the meds you have no immune system to fight against it.
