Does anyone notice that their rashes flare in the afternoon or evening each night? Such that in the morning you wake and no visible rash or just no inflamed rash but by the time afternoon/evening comes around it's inflamed And itchy?
Anyone every raised non itchy rash after a long bath - on areas exposed to the warm water, like legs and arms?
I was very ill many years ago with my lupus and was in the hospital again it seemed I was always in the hospital in the beginning . I had a doctor come into my room after spending the day just trying to stand up so they could find a pulse I was so sick. I was given the best advise that changed my life and health . She told me to never go in the sun not even to check the mail and to always wear sun block even at night . She told me iif I wanted to survive this disease that the biggest thing to do was learn to think of my self like a vampire would live and to keep the airconditioner on no more than 65 never get to much sun or hot or smoke or drink I did not do any of those things and even keep dark out curtains up as she told me to. I was a sun worshiper from childhood and she said it just caused my immune system to get even more overactive than what the lupus did and I had a very high ANA so I have lived at night and evening only going in the daylight when absolutley necessary and I have done a lot of studying on what to do and what not to do . I am much better when most that have had lupus as londg as me do not do so well if they make it for 25 years I will be glad to help anyone who wants a quality of life but you also need to study and believe what it says about the sun and lupus everyone should know the biggest killers of lupus are sun , smoke , stress and drinking. so make sure you research all you can if you want to live and have a best life you can
Sounds like you are getting a rash from photosensitivity. I have this. I am rash free in the morning, but, if exposed to sun or UV light, like in a store, will get a rash on my hands or face later in the day or evening. Also I have different levels of sensitivity during different times of the year. I gradually develop some tolerance over the summer, but become more sensitive during the winter. I wear gloves and a face mask most of the time, but many people with this can get away with high spf lotion. Sending you best wishes for better skin.
When you all are saying rash, do you mean a patch, like all clumped together? I get tiny blisters really everywhere but mostly my face chest and butt. They itch and burn and hurt like a rash does. But they dont look like what you think of when you think water blister. It's a little bump, pretty much what it looks like when a zit is barely starting. They are really painful and leave deep scars. They also come back in the same spot, probably because it's a weak area of skin I'm thinking. Anybody else get these mystery blister bump thingys???
I was really beginning to think I was the only one with the rash on my feet. If I go outside at all, its not too bad, but heat makes it so much worse. I live in Texas where we have summer and mild summer (winter). The itching is always terrible at night, to the point I'm up all night scratching. I haven't found anything that helps for longer than 10 minutes. I'd give anything to make it stop so I can sleep.
I thought I was the only one with these rashes and itchy skin. I find that by the end of the day my skin feels like I have an army of ants under it and I am scratching it till it bleeds. I tried the oatmeal bath, but it did not help at all. I have been given a cream by my dermatologist which helps a bit, but not completely.
