I am wondering where your joint pain is. My rheumatologist told me that lupus only affects the small joints or mostly the small joints. In what joints did your joint pain start and where is your joint pain?
My pain started in my shoulders. It sometimes radiates down my arms. My wrists and finger joints, especially my left hand, hurt mostly on days with rain, or changes in weather. My hips hurt sometimes. I have arthritis throughout my back and have constant spasms in my neck and down my shoulders. I haven't been having symptoms for even a year so I am thinking I'll be feeling more and more as time goes on.
I have pain in all of my joints no matter if they are large or small joints. It is the worst if it is sleeting, but they all hurt all the time, but rainy and sleeting days are the worst. The swelling I have the most are in my hands and my knees. They are getting worse the older I get. My knees started hurting as I worked at a desk at every job, which I had 3 different work places over the years as places closed. I was tied to a phone cord, so there was no chance to get up and move around. I had a keyboard, 3 monitors and 15 programs on each monitor. I am a perfectionist and always had 100 percent at my job, but my knees and my hands are the worst and I feel a lot of it had to do with sitting at a desk all day and keying all day long. Nothing helps the pain, no matter the medication. I cannot take SSRI medications. I am allergic to a lot of medications. I have a constant sinus infection, which I have right now, and even the allergists have found nothing that works for me. They think sometimes, since with Lupus SLE my immune system is working overtime all the time, that my body is already fighting as hard as it can to fight anything and everything that comes my way. I was able to get my 2 Moderna Vaccines. They sent me into a bad flare both times, but I wanted to get them as opposed to not getting them. My husband got his at the same time I did. Hugs and prayers to all. God bless.
My knees are always swollen but I get it in my shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, hips, ankles and toes. And some days you can't tell me those small bones in your fore arms and Shins are not swollen to
Shoulders, neck, back, hips, knee, feet, and hands.
I get pain in my knuckles, plams, elbows, and the heels of my feet. And lupus can affect all your joints. Especially if your on prednisone. And depending on how long and what dose it affects your bones.
