Does anyone suffer from Abdominal bloating, or Peritonitis and ascites? If so, do you experience a strange sensation in your upper middle abdominal section from this?

This question is 2 years old but I’ve just now come across it. I have terrible pitting edema everywhere but it’s now also in my middle. My waist looks like it doubled in size. I have a strange sensation on the sides of my abdomen from it that I can’t even explain. It makes me very nervous. I feel like I’m bloating from the inside like a water balloon

I wish this question was more current. I have that weird sensation on my right side. It feels like my liver (maybe?) just flutters out of place. I get sharp cramps sometimes there that could be liver or kidney. The weird sensation reminded me of being pregnant too. I am bloated and my feet and legs are swollen. I look bigger/fatter and haven't gained pounds.

I have the same symptoms, the GI doctor has done all the test and procedures, everything comes out normally, negative and great.

My abdominal pain Nd bloating is being researched dec1 doing ercp. I had not long ago my abdomin just stops moving. Took 4 days laxative to get it moving. Its not firs time.My abdomin bloat after eating I know im in trouble. Coffee in am helps and magnesium citrate. My daughter gets bloating all time from inflamation in body. If she eating wrong gluten, dairy ext its horrable and she shuts down. The attack to ribs is separate to start with. That is not costrialchondritus. That is more around sternum where ribs connect.

So strange that this old question popped back up again as I just started having the same abdominal swelling again. I don’t know what’s going on 😩 I hate it. Oddly I noticed my legs aren’t as swollen as usual this week. I still have the pitting edema in my legs but it’s not quite as severe as usual. I swear the water retention shifted to my middle from my rib cage down. I worry this could be a sign of a liver problem or something
