That sounds really uncomfortable, and it's completely understandable to be concerned when pain gets worse as the day goes on. Bloating and abdominal pain can be connected to lupus in a few ways.

Lupus can sometimes directly affect the intestines or the lining of the abdomen, causing belly pain that can feel quite intense. GI-related symptoms that people with lupus may experience include:

- Nausea
- Bloating and gas
- Constipation or diarrhea
- Bowel spasms
- Pelvic or abdominal pain Because the pain is excruciating by evening, it's really important not to ignore this. Severe or worsening abdominal pain should be checked out by a doctor as soon as possible — especially if it comes with fever, vomiting, or any changes in your stool.

Please don't wait too long on this one. It's always better to get checked and have it be nothing serious than to leave something untreated. 💛
