Unwell over the weekend diagnosed with a urine infection. Started off as normal then weeing blood and clots now told its a kidney infection is this conected to lupus?
I am 56 and never had a bladder, kidney or UTI in my life. Now with Lupus active have to fight UTIs all the time. Have had 5 in last 2 years. Yes, comes with the stupid Lupus territory. It causes them. I haven't had time yet to research proactive prevention. When I do, will post it on here.
I get a UTI about every 2 months
Hi I get kidney and UTI infection all the time
It was actually through having a kidney infection I was diagnosed with lupus many many years ago,
I get them on average every 5-6 weeks
Although I've not been hospitalised for kidney trouble for 3 years
I've got one at the moment which I've had for 13 days antibiotics don't seem to be working at the moment so seeing Dr tomorrow,
I believe it coincides with my new medication methotrexate which can lower your defences,
Don't ignore and uti or kidney pain your lupus can have bad affects on your organs so always check it out to be in the safe side,
Hope you get it sorted soon xx
I believe it is very much so
I never had one until I was diagnosed with lupus and had to be hospitalised with severe UTI’s and kidney infections
I’ve now lived with these for years
I’ve lost count how many I’ve had this year alone
Got to be at least 7 with this one being the worst
I’m on my second cause of antibiotics and still I. Pain after 3 weeks,
Never mind I tell myself keep positive and keep smiling
😁
