Electra, TX

Has any been put on leflunomide for lupus? I was on methotrexate and plaquinil for about a year and a half. They took me off methotrexate and changed to leflunomide. I have had so many infections since July I am afraid to take it. What little I have taken I have had to stop due to strange infections. The rheumatologist still thinks I should continue. Does anyone have any insight on it? I haven't taken it long enough for it to be the cause, but afraid to weaken immune system more.

I took it and I had wonderful results after getting past the symptoms in the beginning. This medication is one that takes 3 months for it to get in your system. Stay on it until tje side affects pass, and they usualky will once your body gets used to it.

I had to stop taking it because in interacted with a much needed medication.
