I empathize with you because even one nerve is bad enough. I hope it gets better soon.
@A MyLupusTeam Member Actually, the herniated disc is very mild and it isn't even compressing the nerves spinal cord. He said it is just 1 nerve being aggravated. Don't understand that at all. I've been taking the horizant for a month and then he upped it. Sometimes I feel no burning and then it creeps up again. So we shall see. Will see him in 3 months. I don't have any injury so I have no idea. Just wondering if it is Lupus related. Never got a straight answer on this.
Did he say the Horizant would take time to work? It seems though that any inflammation from the herniated disc could be affecting the nerve or inflammation from a prior injury.
What did he say can be done to help relieve the nerve pain and to help the herniated disc?
@A MyLupusTeam Member I went to the neurologist yesterday. He said I have bulging disc (but report says herniated) but he looked at the CD that I had and said it isn't pressing on my spinal cord and that isn't causing my nerve pain. He said I have an aggravated nerve but doesn't think it is lupus related. But he put me on horizant. I've actually been on it for about a month.
@A MyLupusTeam Member Thanks.. I will do that.
