I get dizzy spells off and on but I am going on day 4 of being extremely dizzy and it makes me nauseous. I am having problems walking. My eyes feel puffy, sore and more difficulty focusing.

I have had dizzy spells with flares since the onset of my lupus. Heart and kidneys are fine. However, keep your doctor informed of ALL symptoms to rule out any other health issues associated with lupus. I have had heart workups to ensure my heart was okay. (Echos,XRAYS, and tilt table test). It turns out I had tachycardia, as my heart would also race when I was at the beginning of a flare. Dr. gave me beta blocker for that but I take them only during the beginning of the flare. However, that darn dizziness last for about a week.

Recently, my rheumy prescribed valium at a low dose since it's helps treat vertigo. There is also an over the counter medication for dizziness called Meclizine. Dr., said they both cause tiredness so take them at home to see how your body reacts to either of these meds. I have not tried either yet as I have not had a flare for a few weeks.

It could be a bug you are coming down with. If it continues, I would most defenitly go see the doctor just to be on the safe side.
