Sorry for the gnarly pictures, but does anyone else get nasal sores like this? Unfortunately, I have not yet been diagnosed (despite 2 + ANA results... I also haven’t been pushing for a diagnosis) but I get these sores inside my nose and now outside my nose also. This is the biggest one I’ve had- there are also some inside right now. I seem to get them like the day of/right after what I believe is a flare. It just looks SO AWFUL. It is painful but mostly just unsightly :( I am starting a new job… read more
I have a sore inside one of my nostrils. I gets so..... sore. I put hydrogen peroxide on a Q-tip to clean it as well as the inside of the nostril then put Bactroban ointment on another Q-tip to put on the sore. It calms it down.
Ive had sores inside and outside my nose. I wasn't diagnosed with lupus at first. I went through ENT then to dermatology. Derm diagnosed Discoid lupus - gave me steroid cream for sores & plaquenil. The initial ANA tests ordered by derm with lupus panel started out w low titers, but I got referred to Rheum who gave me UCTD diagnosis, then as more lupus criteria and ANA titer raised to 1:640, the diagnosis gradually became systemic lupus. This process took years though.
I've only had sores in my nose, not on the outside. I'd see a dermatologist to find the cause.
