I take plaquenil twice daily to control lupus....my dr wanted me to take Lyrica but it costs a small fortune even with insurance. My ins. company suggested Gabapentin as an alternative.... probably all they willing to cover. I've been taking it for about 3 months now and I believe it helps.... particularly with sleep. I can't sleep more than 2 or 3 hours without waking up hurting.. either my hips, legs, neck.. something

I have a very bad case of RLS. My Dr added Horizant to go along with my requip. Most people do t know what it is. It is a gabraptin base. It seems to help calm the legs some & they don't seem to hurt as much .

I did notice that my dreams change after starting the Gabapentin. No nightmares, but they are more cartoony, less reality based. Just happy I am asleep long enough to dream. Don't give up, keep searching for something that helps.

I LOVE Lyrica, but insurance made me change to Gabapentin. It is good but I have break through pain. Praying it works great for you.

Am taking the Gabapentin. It worked wonders for sleep. I also had that awful ready to crawl out of my skin feeling in my lower back and legs, but before reading everyone else's posts, thought it was just me. After joining the site, I was able to go to my doctor and explain the misery. Getting some sleep again - not alot, but happy for what I can get!

I take Pramipecole Dihydro for my restless leg syndrome. However, or most nights I take a natural organic magnesium supplement which works really well for my whole body. It’s vegan and verified Non-GMO.
