I have been suffering from severe, and I mean severe leg cramps. They are mostly at night. First my toes start curling up then the cramps go up the outside of my leg to the knee. I also get them in the back of my left thigh. They are so severe, it feels like my muscles are being ripped out of my leg. It’s excruciating and I end up just balling my eyes out. I massage the area when it’s happening and try to move my foot to where the cramping starts to subside. I use coconut oil w peppermint… read more

I too have had cramps in legs and hands. Still have some cramps. I learn to lay very still and try to relax. if I moved the front of my body would cramp, and then if I tried to strech the cramping out, the back of my body would cramp. IUse the method i used when I had contractions when I was pregnant to relax and ride the pain. I use tizanidine or robaxin. Some help with those. Upped my vit D. But the hydrochloroquil helped the most.

Thank u everyone for ur replies.
Mel, that movie sounds interesting. I will have to watch it for sure.
Marcella; I used to get them in my hands, do once in awhile now but rarely. I do take Magnesium and Vid D3. Don’t get them in the bottom of my feet but they always start in my toes, the muscles curl them up.
Harve, I will look into Tazanidine,. Hate to take yet another prescription but if nothing else works, I may give it a try.
People w kidney disease r prone to leg cramp so bc of my kidney damage from the lupus, that’s probably y I’m getting them. Heard Vit E helps, will try that too

How are your vitamin b12 levels? I had severe cramps turns out my b12 was very low. I have been on monthly shots and cramps have improved. 🙏🦋💜

I've recently started getting severe muscle spasms in my lower back that goes down both my legs and real bad on my thigs on both outer thighs and my neck shoulder and arms. I have a medical marijuana card and it helps it helps me get relief from several of my symptoms. I also order this serenity body butter that's homemade and infused with cannabis sativa and I rub it on and in minutes they diminish. I love that stuff!! Maybe your magnesium or potassium is low or dehydrated. I feel dehydrated a lot bc i have lost my appetite so I'm not hungry or thirsty as much. I've lost almost 30 lbs since February.
Anyway, I'm sending you prayers and I pray you can get some relief!!
