For those who are single, do you find dating difficult?

Amen! I just got into a relationship a few months ago, but had been single for a very long stretch of time before that. I'm 31, and it's been so difficult to watch all my friends get married and engaged around me. Many times, I've felt like no one wants to sign up for all my health issues. I've had a lot of dates say extremely insensitive things about my lupus when I told them (anybody heard that House joke before?)... It has been so soul-crushing at times that I didn't want to date at all. It was just pure luck that my boyfriend and I met when we did, and he surprises me every day by being so understanding about my lupus.

Yey @A MyLupusTeam Member! @A MyLupusTeam Member @A MyLupusTeam Member also want to see the film but I bet I am gonna cry.

@A MyLupusTeam Member don't give up, there is not only one prince charming.

I broke up about two years ago with my ex, who was with me when I was diagnosed. He was too weak and unhappy to ever stuck with me. I have been dating since then but I lack the patience often and don't feel like dressing up or put on make up most days.

I don't think it isn't only difficult for us to find a good partner. But if we are feeling hurt all the time it is hard to have the emotional availabitity and disposition to date or being noticed as a potential date. I have faith if I work on being well for me someone will show up.

No, I waste 17 years with someone that did not care for me like I care for him. And one day the light when on broke with him and my old boyfriend starting going out to dinner and breakfast and he ask me to marry him 2 years prior to me getting married. And when someone love you, really love the care for you thought the good times and the bad times. I take prednisone and it make you mean, So he pass the test. Now if I could get married at 60 years old you can also.

God is good, and will put the best thing for us right in front. But keep your eyes open and your heart also💜

I have been married twice and in the first marriage, I had gotten sick but, no idea it was Lupus. (he cheated anyway) The second marriage, I was dx when pregnant!! I lost 2 babies before I was able to carry my one and only son. My ex-husband was so convinced, I would have no choice but to be with him because I was so very sick!! Not one person would want me with Lupus. I threw him out, he freaked out!! I have been alone since. I rather be alone, than be mentally or physically abused; plus have a bad male image for my son. Yes, it has been a hard journey but, well worth it and I would do it again!! I am a better person for the choices I have made. I have a college degree, which he would not have allowed me to educate myself. If anything. what I did with my life, would have been a threat to him. He has married again and the woman has 15 grandchildren and she looks like his grandmother instead of his wife. lol
I do not regret the path, I now walk alone!! I have no family and my son now has his own family and lives in another state. I have good days and bad but, it sure beats not putting up with a bad marriage.
I just wish I would have chosen the second marriage with better taste!!
(I would never regret my son, just the man I married)
