I feel like this every day how am I 28 but I feel 85 and I feel like nobody can relate or understand why I’m miserable and feel like I’ll be single forever because nobody knows how to be around me or help me and I feel like a burden and weak and my life feels pointless sometimes and never gets better
It can be very frustrating to have an illness like lupus, (The Silent Disease) because I've been dealing with this for some years now my family including my sons seem to think I'm the same as before because I've always been very strong. I force myself on a daily to not let this get the best of me. Sometimes it's hard to do but I just pray to God for strength. I'm 63 now but I haven't always felt or acted 63. I was still dancing and wearing my heals. Within the last 4 or 5 years things changed. Gave all my heals away. I still push through and dance sometimes, it's what keeps me sane. I've asked my son's and family to do research to understand this disease more but not sure if they have. At least here on this site, we find answer's and we talk to others that are dealing with the same Silent Disease, it's been really good therapy to be able to talk about your illness that understand. Don't let this get the best of you. As long as we wake every morning is a gift from God to know we still have work to do, we have a purpose. I'd like to add you to my team of wonderful ladies dealing with the same issue!! Welcome to the family 😘💪🏽🙏🏽
I think we all feel like that sometimes. It's human nature to want to be who u have always been, and to resent these new symptoms and limitations. But the depression should pass, and if it doesn't, u need to discuss it with your doctor. There is no shame in antidepressants. Remember that you are still a loved, viable person, you just need a little more patience - from others, and from yourself. Things are different, but not over.
Hugs and prayers.
Linda we with lupus have been there many times . Desperation . Why we do it I don’t know . We are !our worst Enemy , but I really think it’s because we feel bad all the time I know I do . Have a little to take care of is rough , but again maybe it will keep you going ... praying for you to feel bette Rooney God .Bless you . Hang in there God is a miracle working God Don’t lose "hope .🙏💞😘🙏
It is very frustrating. You feel you will never feel better. You think your life is over!!!!!!!!! But, it is not!
When you get diagnosed, some have been sick for a long time but others got hit with this out of nowhere. Then you start playing with treatment plans. It really is different for each of us. When you find the right meds for you. Then things start improving. You will be surprised the difference in yourself, your body - all of it.
We are here for you. Answer questions, cry with you, he'll with you and celebrate with you.
I too feel like that a lot of the time. When I first got sick friends dropped away they didn't know how or want to deal with me. They stopped calling to do anything because with being sick I wouldn't know how I'd feel from day to day. I'd cancel last minute. Or leave early. I could tell they didn't understand. No matter how much I tried to explain.
I do have a wonderful husband. We met when we were 16. I'm 49 now and he has been thru it all with me. I also have a 13 year old daughter. She's fearful of me. She's scared I'm going to die on her. When I started getting benlysta infusions I met a woman and her daughter and they befriended me. She has lupus also and was getting benlysta too. Our friendship has grown over time and is different from other friendships because she really understands what I'm going thru. We both get rituxan infusions now. We had ports put in for the infusions because the nurses couldn't get ivs in our poor veins. So we see each other once a month to have the ports flushed. We get lunch at the hospital cafe and spend sometime catching up. She has been a life saver. But none the less I have days when I think the same things you do. This illness took everything away I loved doing and I can't be in the sun too.
You have to remember your going to have days like that but you are strong and you will come out on the other side. Lots of ups and downs.
And know that you will meet the right guy in the right time.
Be kind and gentle to yourself. Always put yourself first the rest will come. Have some patience and faith.
I just joined this site recently and think it's a pretty good idea to be able to talk with so many that are going thru the things we are going thru. That we are not alone. And have someone to always talk to.
I pray things get easier for you, and you find your new normal. That's been the hardest part for me, but I'm finding it little by little.
Take care of yourself, rest, and sleep well.
XOXO
I added you to my team if you'd like to talk more.
