Like the surface of my tongue feels numb, and things taste weird. It goes away eventually, but I'm not sure why it happens. Is it just another lupus symptom? Is there anything I can do to make it happen less?

Periodically I get numbness, tingling in my mouth and/ or face usually before or after I’ve had a migraine, or if I’ve over done it and not had adequate rest, or if I’m have a great deal of inflammation. I see a neurologist in addition to my rheumatologist, who monitors nerve issues for me.

I get ulcers on my gums but I didn't know I had them. It's where the gum and the inside of the lip connect. I thought it was my toothbrush being too bulky. My dentist found the sores. I presently have a little annoying bump in the middle of my tongue. Darn thing.
