Hi Family. I was wondering, those of you who are sun sensitive and or have discoid Lupus, does cell phone light cause your face to flare, or cause some irritation, itching, tingling etc. Even with or without a rash? Also had anyone had a reaction to theater popcorn? 🤷🏽♀️ Trying to see what's going on... 🙄🤔😳
I haven’t had a reaction to the movie popcorn and I get a rash when in direct sunlight and a very bad migraine even the light from my cell phone began breaking my face out which ever side that I had my phone on to close to my face my cheeks and my ear began to break out I went to my dermatologist and she told me that I should turn down my lighting of my phone for it wasn’t the light it was the heat from the phone and by the way butterfly 🦋 I have SLE LUPUS) hope this helped you🤗💝
Theatre popcorn is doused with oil not butter. Often it is palm or coconut oil which can cause a reaction if you're sensitive like me.
@A MyLupusTeam Member If it's available to you, I would get a complete allergy test. My pulmonologist tested me for everything- very detailed. It was incredibly helpful information.
Sun, any lighting except LED, and sulfates seem to stimulate flares in me. I also get a butterfly rash. The last time I didn’t use sun screen I ended up spending a week in bed.
Yes, I'm aware... I don't eat "corn". I usually buy organic non gmo popcorn made with olive, coconut or avocado oil. I know the movie popcorn is one the worst with all the extra bad stuff added. I'm just trying to see if I actually had/ having a reaction to it... It seems I'm getting more sensitive to things. I do miss eating corn. We grew it in our garden. I will definitely stay away from movie popcorn! Wondering about cell phone light... Hmmm
