Does anyone experience pain in the connective tissue of the ear (the outer part of the ear)? My right ear I red and painful. Pain is a pulsing / stabbing pain. I have been in a lupus flare since Monday, which equals 5 days now. Any idea what this ear pain may be?

Yes, it's another auto immune connective tissue disease. The name escapes me now because, of course, I'm in a flare and my brain fog is really bad. My rheumatologist diagnosed it and said the only treatment is high dose steroids. I have been on Zillis CBD oil both sublingually and topically. After about 5 or 6 days my ears quit itching and weren't red anymore. I can get you hooked up with the CBD oil if you don't have a place to get it. It's definitely better than being on Prednisone. I hope this helps.

I've been having some ear ringing/pains as well. From what I've been reading, systemic sclerosis (or scleroderma) can cause ear pains. It is another autoimmune very similar to lupus. Talk to your rheumy about it.
