Could be insterstitual cystitis (I.C.) of the bladder. It can miminc UTIs and it can be controled by diet. I.C. is due to automimmne issues. Basically the diet is to not eat acidic things. You will need to go to a urologist to confirm a diagnosis. Sometimes they put you on a low dose of microdantin 50mg for 6 mos. To a year to calm tge bladder down. Also, regular alka selterzer will decrease or eliminate UTI symptoms and especially I.C. I have had I.C. for over 10 years along with SLE and sjogrens. I do well when I stick to my diet.

Has anyone ever suffered from Slipping Rib Syndrome? I had never heard of it til about an hour ago. I bent over at an odd angle to pick something up from the floor, and nearly passed out when one of my ribs actually popped forward with excruciating pain! I sat up straight and pushed it back into place almost immediately, but OMG did it hurt! Still aches like I was kicked, even in my back on the left side , and it's pretty uncomfortable to take a deep breath - but it's no an ER emergency. I looked up if it was even possible to pop a rib out of place that way, and was shocked to read that it was! Of course Slipping Rib Syndrome is caused by weakened ligaments and our Lupy friend INFLAMATION. Big surprise, right? Still shaken by the whole experience, and will be making a doctor's appointment on Monday - just wanted to know if any other Lupus sufferers out there have experienced this.
