Predinsone is on it's own level. It is the quickest best anti-inflammatory medicine out there. It has helped me with so many lupus complications over the years, however it does come at a cost. Short term-I experienced heart palpitations, mood swings, blood sugar crashes. Long term it can give you diabetes, osteoperosis, etc. I have been on and off it for years at different doses.
