Hi everyone, I had a work colleague "out" me at a professional convention when introducing me to a friend of his who also has lupus. I was among friends, so I let it slide, but I don't normally reveal my lupus status to just anyone, especially at professional events, in case it reflects badly on my standing. Do you think I should tell him that I felt extremely uncomfortable about this, or let it slide?
I let it slide, don't let anyone move into you head~space like that.
Take a walk in a lovely garden, thank God for everything
he has blessed you with
& pray for those who don't have compassion.
Peace & love to our world.

Honey I agree we all need eachither and others who are dealing with Lupus, However, I would talk to him aside, and let him know you appriciate his intensions, please not in a orofessianal situation. Maybe if he asked you ahead of time. I would be kind and profession when letting him know how you like to keep personal life personal.
Good Luck
Please keep me posted! I'd love to hear your discision!
Hello miss_musicology! I don't think this person had bad intentions, but good for both of you! I think people need people and if we have something or information to offer that will help, even about a diease, we should gladly connect and share!
Outing me for something that was good would be a grand choice! I would support the person with lupus and thank the person who brought us together for helping us both! I don't keep my illness hidden, and I won't allow pity from anyone! Never be embarrassed! But that's me!
Being blessed!
I would have a talk with him. That is your Personal Business. Best wishes and God Bless.
Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know that it worked out fine, and he understood that I did not feel comfortable talking about my diagnosis, especially at a business event.
