I have had lupus for 30 years now and by coincidence clean & sober for 30 years! Seems as though at 56 years old, I have actually turned 86 years old. Love the cold air - in Houston A/C at 73 but layered in something warm. Summer sweat 24/7 if outside, yet wintertime at 40 degrees and sweat big time, I mean big drips coming down my face. I have had both hips and one knee replacement. My first knee surgery was bad. But my recent knee surgery, in October was nothing. Overall my lupus did good. Knee surgery recovery is hard. But I’m at glad I had it done.
Total Knee Replacement done!!!!! healing wonderfully. Received clearance from Cardiologist. Surgery is July 9th, seems my right knee is very arthritic even though I hadn't fallen on that one! So that one will be next!!
***FOLLOW-UP: Yup, need a complete knee replacement with right soon to follow. never thought, just never thought. Saw my surgeon on Tues and he agrees that shots, therapy would be of no use for me. I'm okay with a knee replacement, just want to be able to walk again!
