Hey! Quick question! I was thinking about getting a small tattoo, but I’m not in remission. Have any of y’all gotten tattoos since you’ve been diagnosed with lupus? And did it cause any problems or did y’all doctors advise against it? And if you got a tattoo, what did you get?? :)

Everyonesgrammy, I recently got a small wrist tattoo. It took a long time to heal with, flare symptoms for several weeks. Fevers, aches fatigue. Finally healed, but had to have touched up because of poor healing. It's still needs another touch up too to poor healing. It was worth it for me. I got a cross, and I am going to get one with my granddaughters name soon. It does cause flare ups, but seems like everything does, so I took a chance on mine. Good luck Grammy. Gentle hugs.

My rheumatologist won’t even allow his patients to come into his office, only virtual unless an emergency. I can’t even imagine asking him about getting a tattoo with this virus.
