Hey! Quick question! I was thinking about getting a small tattoo, but I’m not in remission. Have any of y’all gotten tattoos since you’ve been diagnosed with lupus? And did it cause any problems or did y’all doctors advise against it? And if you got a tattoo, what did you get?? :)

I had about 8 tattoos before finding out about this disease, since then i recently got a lupus ribbon tattooed on my arm and i experience a lot or peeling and color changing of the tattoo that i never experienced before. The itchy and skin peeling with the pain was the worse thats just my experience though everyone is different

I have 8 tattoos, all done after my diagnosis. No problems.

I've had one done last year October. No side effects. I was perfectly fine 😁 I got a semicolon, which is a symbol for anxiety, depression and suicide. It means that your life isn't over (i.e. a full stop)just because you may be feeling or going through tough times. It's just a pause💛
