I had a CT scan with contrast due to some abdominal pain I’ve been having because I have hernia’s.
My dr is out of town till the end of the month and there is no on call physician, so I picked up the report.
The findings, in addition to my hernias were that my heart and liver are both enlarged.
The medical terminology used was
Lower Chest: subsegemental atelectasis as well as cardiomegaly.
And liver enlarged measuring up to 24 cm with hepatic steatosis.
Has anyone had this or know of it?
I have had an enlarged heart on my ct scans and xrays before as well as a partially collapsed lung, liver enlargement and i did have lesions on my liver that made every doctor think that i had hepatitis but that was negative and they still have no reason as to why. My heart is always enlarged whenever i am in a flare, mine comes from pericarditis, u may want to ask for a cardiologist or a angiogram or ultrasound on your heart to have that checked out best of luck and hope u get well soon
When first diagnosed with lupus at 15 I had pericarditis alot. But now older iI don't have anymore
Yes I am.
Could that be causing all of this?
What were you referring to when you said collapsed lung?
How would that have occurred and would it be causing an enlarged heart ?
Thank you for your help.
