What's your thoughts about the vaccine? Are you all concerned about the vaccine due to Lupus is a chronic disease? I read somewhere that they (scientists) are not sure how it will react with Chronic Disease.
I’m not going to go anywhere near that vaccine!! I’ve got enough problems. I don’t need any help, nor am I taking a chance. Be careful, and safe out there.
I wouldn't recommend it. The vaccine was rushed. Vaccines usually go through years of scrutiny by the fda before being done on human trials, and those usually happen for years before they're made public. We don't know how it'll affect normal, healthy people in the long run. And we aren't healthy.
Besides, if the antibodies for covid only last for about three months after getting better, I don't see how they could have made the antibodies in the vaccine last longer, either. Not to mention there's at least 6 strains. Does the vaccine cover all 6? Or is it like the flu vaccine, where it vaccinates for the most popular strain, or 2?
If you're in an area where covid is so prevelent, or you're being required to get it, I would research it thoroughly. Check out papers on the research on the NCBI.
You to anyya, I never go out of my way for trouble. I'm a coward I admit it. Lol I don't like the idea of being an old guinea pig.
This article talks about the vaccine made by 2 different companies. Both have different side effects. But it does not talk about how it could affect someone who has a chronic disease.

I wear my mask when I have to go out. I've been a hermit pretty much this year. I have to work though. There, I wear a mask and clean my area with alcohol. Last week I got a flu shot and did quarterly lupus bloodwork. Towards last week I ended up with severe muscle and joint pain and fatigue. I took it as a flare up since it went away after a few days. I scheduled and took a COVID-19 test this past Monday because you just go crazy when any thing little health wise happens to you. Results came back Wednesday as positive for COVID-19. This whole time mind you, no fever. Last week muscle and joint pain. This week headaches, terrible, light coughs, and sneezing...still no fever
