Recently I have been experiencing terrible pain in my legs along with swelling in my ankles and feet. I also have burning and tingling in my thigh. I was checked for kidney and liver problems and the tests came back ok. My blood pressure is also ok. Do any of you have this and if so, what do you do?

I would check with your heart doctor . I had leg and feet swelling along with pain, I got where i could no longer walk. My doctor found I had fluid around my heart and had to have Percardio surgery. Surgery around my heart to release the fluid I was retaining. Or you might just be retaining lots of fluid, check with your primary doctor, or your heart doctor.

YESSSSS!!!! This is common in patients such as ourselves. My feet swell so much, my Husband and children let me know its time to sit down or stop doing activities around the house. I experience pain in my legs and feet. My feet are numb from the toes up. I was put on Lyrica and in a matter of days, the problem was resolved! After a few years, I was sent to the neurologist. I was advised I have nerve damage in my legs and feet, due to Lupus damage. So SLE will do damage don't worry, it can be regulated. I dislike taking these medications but it helps keep me productive and cope with the effects of the disease....

I take a B vitamin and magnesium but I am awful about getting potassium. Maybe I will eat some bananas and see if it helps!!

Hi @A MyLupusTeam Member, that is EXACTLY it. I'm going to ask my doctor about the cream. I have gained some weight, so that really could be the reason. Ugh. Thanks.

Yes, I get a lot of pain in my legs, feet and ankles sometimes. When my doctor upped my plaquenil to twice a day that went away for the most part. Is the pain in your thigh from about the knee almost to the groin and on the inside of your thigh (up to the middle part of thigh if you were to draw a line from knee to torso, but not on the outside of your thigh)? I developed that burning, itching feeling in my thigh after I'd been on prednisone for about two months. It made me gain some weight and that weight was pressing on a nerve that's right below where a bulgy belly would press. He prescribed some cream stuff with something in it (can't remember what... I think it might have been capsaicin) and it helped a lot. Once I lost a few pounds (easier said than done, I sympathize!), it went away completely.
