Certain medicines i take causes my mouth to dry and when my lupus flares i stay away from foods that make my mouth hurt because it cuts my gums and inside my mouth up. I use chapstick hydrating lip balm the coconut one and go through a tube a month and drink lots of water and suck on sugar free peppermint. I also brush my teeth more during flairs and dry mouth spells. I did test positive for sjorgens syndrome. Keep fighting

I took Evoxac also but stopped because it was so experience. If u can afford it it does work. I was able to qualify for SSD, so after that the problem was solved when I could stop working.

I know that muscle relaxers can cause severe dry mouth, they can make your gums recede from your teeth also. I put a antibiotic ointment on the side of my mouth that helps. much love!

Does sound like Sjogrens. Did they check it for viral? They make some meds for this. Can't remember names.
