I work in the medical field ans tbey have been givibg tge vaccine for about a month and so far i have opted out. What are you all thinking about it?? It makes me nervous since they didnt test it on immune compromised patients and also our systems dont work like normal ppl. Plus it was made so quickly. Idk?!?!
I just dont trust in the timing of how fast it was made when it took years to come up with a vaccine for measles and other diseases including the flu itself. I think its everyones personal choice but you will be surprised how many times ive heard people talk junk about people who choose not to get it but hey i dont care how they feel i wont be getting it for my own safety and concerns. We barely have this disease under control and they think im going to inject myself with a RNA made vaccine!! No thank you
I have concerns, I am not gonna lie. My rheumy is advising all her lupus and auto immune patients to get it. When? We don't yet know. She says it is better to get the vaccine and possibly flare than to get Covid.🤷‍♀️
I felt the same but then I prayed on this matter and decided to get the vaccine because my immune system. What if I did get covid-19 and my immune system could not handle the virus it would be worst for me. Didn't get sick just a sore arm. Hope this helps you
You have 4 vaccines to choose from. The research that needs to be done is which vaccine you think will be best for you. Unfortunately, not all of those vaccines are available at this time. My preference would be the Oxford vaccine out of the UK simply because they used the old method of producing this vaccine rather than the RNA method. Here in our little pokey town they are using the Moderna vaccine and, yes, it does have side effects, especially the second dose which seems to cause a very bad headache and upset stomach. My husband is in law-enforcement and he has just had his first dose. He has done this to protect me. I haven’t seen any signs of the Pfizer vaccine and the 4th vaccine is supposed to be produced by Johnson and Johnson, but I haven’t heard much about that one. Would I take the Moderna vaccine, yes, but I wouldn’t be happy about it. Life has pretty much come to a stand still and there are places I can’t go or people I haven’t seen for a year come March because of this virus. I’m tired of being held captive by Covid.
@A MyLupusTeam Member what did someone post that wasnt true? I didnt see anyone saying anything about the vaccine and what it does just that we dont agree with taking it. They’ve said many times that its a mRna created vaccine without the live virus but how can a vaccine that doesnt have the live virus train your body to notice the pathogen and fight against it when our bodies immune system barely recognizes itself without attacking our organs and joints or entire body. This is why i wont be getting it and everyone has their own personal reasons as to why they wont get it and thats one of mine on top of how short of a time it took for them to create the vaccine with little knowledge about the disease itself. 95% effective with a second strain of the virus already in our atate thats more contagious then the first yet they know for a fact that the vaccine will prevent this virus too without even testing it out. I just dont trust it, not enough information or studies done for me to take it, especially when they dont even know yet if kids can have the vaccine or pregnant women as it hasnt been tested on them. I think ill just wait for the companies thats still doing studies and doing trials on kids, pregnant women, and people with health issues. When that company gets done i might take that one since they have been studying and testing for almost a year compared to the 6 to 8 months that it took the others
